Mkhitar Akopian
Managing Partner / North America

– After 10 years of experience in investment banking, PE/VC, and corporate development, Mkhitar joined NORTH PEAK in 2023;

– Between 2020 and 2023, Mkhitar spearheaded the launch of the EdTech division at VK through a series of strategic M&A transactions, resulting in a valuation of US$2.5bn.

– VK Education achieved $300m in revenue within three years and expanded its operations to North America, LATAM, and Asia by leveraging remote opportunities.

– One of the portfolio brands, Uchi.ru, reached the Top-2 global education websites in 2020 in terms of daily average users.

– From 2018 to 2020, Mkhitar served as a Principal at Phystech Ventures, a US-based VC firm with a focus on deep tech and energy tech. Notable transactions during his tenure include Geonaft, ML One, and Axel.

– Before that, Mkhitar held various investment banking and M&A advisory positions at EY and Hi Capital Corporation.

VITALI KOLLOMETS​
Managing Partner / Europe

– More than 15 years in commercial real estate in Europe and North America, mostly in top management positions – real estate advisory, valuations, and asset management;

– Vitali managed various real estate portfolios, including the real estate portfolio of a major bank in Northern Europe of several hundred real estate units;

– Responsible for real estate valuations for a total amount of over $1.5bn for major banks and real estate funds in the region;

– Created and implemented a non-trivial real estate investment strategy for the largest bank in Baltics during the previous financial crisis.

– Also advised the bank’s internal real estate department on the bank’s most complicated real estate projects;

– Participated in many corporate and real estate-related litigations, thus gaining a strong understanding of how to minimize litigation risks in the real estate business.
